Wake Up! (Translated from Arabic)

Wake up!
Wake up!
There is a house for me near the farthest mosque*
The Chosen**, choose it for me
BUT I lost it to lies

So wake up! Wake up!
And turn your face to the Chosen
For  these children***became
Elders before the break of dawn.

Enough sleeping!
Enough dreaming!
For the night has cleared
And the dawn has glowed
And the figs and olives have ripened
So wake up! Wake  up!
And turn your face to the Chosen
For  these children became
Elders before the break of dawn.

Fifty years and more
And the sweetheart**** is heartbroken
And the childhood friend is
Waiting for a traveler who promised her to come back And  to love her forever.

So wake up! Wake up!
For  those children became
Elders before the break of dawn

*The Chosen-(المصطفي) refers typically to the profit Muhammad  (pbuh)- meant to be metaphorical as the mosque was built many after he died.

** the farthest mosque is referred it as Al-Aqsa mosque in Arabic (مسجد الاقصي)

***children refers to the Palestinian children living under the Israeli occupation.

****sweatheart refers to Jerusalem and Palestine in general.
